Gregg Williams

Chief Executive Officer

Oil & Gas Technology Investor, Energy Asset Strategist

Energy-focused investor and founder of Gaussian Wellworks, specializing in oil and gas technology ventures.

He identifies, funds, and scales technologies that improve upstream performance, production efficiency, and asset value, bridging capital and innovation to drive measurable results. He brings 25 years experience in real estate and acreage value optimization. Mr. Williams holds a B.S. in Urban Planning & Development from the University of Southern California.

Mohamed Abdelaal

Chief Technical Officer

Dr. Mohamed Abdelaal is a Petroleum Reservoir Engineer with over five years of industry experience. He has contributed to numerous research projects involving well performance optimization, reservoir characterization, and integrated subsurface assessment. His work integrates Gaussian methodology and multidisciplinary datasets with reservoir-simulation workflows benchmarked against industry-standard software, including CMG, tNavigator, Petrel, Kappa, and IHS WellTest. He holds a Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University (LSU), where his research focused on pressure and rate transient analysis for reservoir characterization and hydrocarbon production forecasting. At LSU, he has served as a Research Associate and as a Sustainability and CCS-Reservoir Simulation Intern with Lhoist North America. His contributions include carbon storage feasibility studies, plume migration analysis, pressure management evaluations, CO2-EOR development coupled with CCS for TMR Exploration, Inc., and CCS feasibility and site screening with Lhoist North America, Inc. His research has resulted in numerous peer-reviewed publications in leading journals.

Lisa Jack

CPA overseeing all financial operations of Gaussian providing strategic leadership in accounting, reporting, and fiscal planning.

With more than 25 years of finance and accounting experience – she brings both technical expertise and business insight to her role. Ms. Jack began her professional journey at Arthur Andersen, where she advanced to the role of manager prior to transitioning to several CFO roles with California real estate firms including Arch Bay Capital, Shopoff Development & IMH Financial. Ms. Jack is a certified public accountant in both California and Texas. She holds a Master of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University, graduating summa cum laude.

Ken Schaefer

Chief Data/IT Infrastructure Officer

Mr. Schaefer leads technology strategy, data management, and IT infrastructure for Gaussian Wellworks.

With more than 25 years of experience in enterprise technology and information architecture, he specializes in designing secure, scalable systems that improve operational efficiency, knowledge management, and organizational performance. His expertise spans infrastructure architecture, enterprise collaboration platforms, data governance, and technology modernization, helping organizations transform information into a strategic business asset. Mr. Schaefer holds a B.A. in Sociology from Monmouth College as well as M.B.A. from Lake Forest.

JP Boyter

Outside Legal Counsel

Contracts, Legal Strategies

Mr. Boyter is outside legal counsel to Gaussian Wellworks.

Specializing in corporate governance, financing transactions and strategic business matters. Mr. Boyter is a transactional attorney with deep experience in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, private equity, corporate governance and startup representation. He advises companies at every stage of the growth cycle-from early-stage financings through complex M&A transactions-with a focus on technical expertise, strategic deal structuring and risk mitigation. Mr. Boyter brings both legal and business-side fluency to the table, helping founders and leadership teams navigate sophisticated transactions with confidence. Mr. Boyter received his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law, graduating summa cum laude, and holds a B.S. in Accounting from Louisiana State University Shreveport.

Dr. David Schecter

Advisory Board Member

Dr. David Schechter serves as a member of the Advisory Board, bringing to Gaussian Wellworks unrivalled expertise in enhanced oil recovery (EOR), and reservoir engineering. He is Department Chair and Longwell-Leonard Distinguished Professor in the Craft & Hawkins Department of Petroleum Engineering at Louisiana State University. Over more than 30 years, Dr. Schechter has advanced EOR research and practice through leadership roles in academia and industry. Dr. Schechter earned a BSc in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Bristol, England. His career has included appointments at Stanford University, New Mexico Tech, Texas A&M University, and Louisiana State University. He has also held industry leadership roles, including Vice President of Reservoir Engineering at EOR ETC and Chief Technology Officer at Third Wave Production. A Distinguished Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Dr. Schechter has mentored more than 90 MSc and PhD students, taught industry courses in 18 countries, published over 170 technical papers, and contributed extensively to CO₂ EOR and sequestration research.
